MY REVIEW

First, please heed the warning at the top of this review.  This book had me laughing so hard I swear I was going to hyperventilate.  Author Belle Aurora has an amazing sense of humor and combines that well with the rest of the emotions you will be feeling as you read this book.

Meet Tina....

She has hurt that runs deep in her heart that she ran from her home to deal with it better.  She trusts no man after the way she was betrayed in the worst of ways by an ex.  Moving to New York seemed to work well for her.  She opened a boutique and met new friends with her employees Mimi and Lola.  Nat, her BFF from Cali, was even moving out to work with her at the store and live together.  No, her life wasn't perfect something important was missing and she remembered it and the pain everyday...never a day passed she didn't remember.
My heart broke for her.  Her struggle to move forward was so real.  Belle certainly did an amazing job at capturing the emotions and getting them across to the reader.  I felt like it was me experiencing everything she was going through.

Meet Nik....

Nik has had a bad past too and because of his past things are a little less laid back for him.  Nik does not believe in love and has girls for meeting needs never relationships.  He never lies or misleads the women.  They know fully well what they are getting into when the go to bed with him.  He runs a club across the street from Tina.  Never even talked to her before.

Introducing Tornado Tina....

It started with a kiss.  Well a candy kiss and a note...
Intrigued and wanting to know why someone would send him something like this.  He meets Tina.  Nik was so shocked at the whirlwind that when she offers to be friends, he agrees.  Nik's life is NEVER the same after that and neither are his taste buds.

Donuts, cakes, cupcakes.....what's a guy supposed to do????

This was one of my FAVORITE funny moments!  Tina was just freaking hilarious!!!

The connection that Belle makes between the back up characters (Mimi, Lola, Nat and Max, Ghost, Trick) was absolutely amazing!!!  The friendship...The loyalty was strong evident and you found yourself thinking of your own friends and putting their images in place, but then there were times you say "DAMN! I wish I had a friend like that!"  There was no fake or forced connections between them.  She didn't have to state how close each character was to the other because you felt it, you knew it.

HOT HOT HOT HOT HOT HOT HOT!!!!!!!!!!

This is merely a scene from their first kiss....not even the good stuff and you were left breathless and feeling the tingles on your own lips!  The HOT scenes that followed were no disappointment either.  You know the saying that they use "It rocked my socks off".....Well that didn't apply here because by the time that a scene was finished I had to go dig out a new pair.  The old ones were set on fire and I was melting into a pool of "OMG CAN I HAVE THAT PLEASE!"....  As hot as the scenes get you still feel the connection between them and that is what makes them that much hotter.  By the end of the book, I was taking notes and giving them to my husband LMAO!!!!

OVERALL:

This book did not leave anything out!  You laugh, you cry (and boy did I at some spots), you love, you get all hot and bothered and you got angry.  You also sat on the edge of your seat hoping and praying and biting your nails.  The world that author Belle Aurora put us in was so life like I think I could have honestly walked out my door and thought I would see the boutique or the club. (I live in the country by the way.)  This book was NOT a let me down kind of book.  You know the ones you hear so much about and then fall short of expectations.  No this book EXCEEDED all expectations that were put out there for it and then some.  It's a real honest story and a GREAT one at that.   Great job, Belle Aurora!  Your first book and you knocked it out of the park with bases loaded at the bottom off the ninth!!  Keep them coming!!
