Immortal Dreams by Jennifer Sage ***Review by PJ***

IMMORTAL DREAMS
by JENNIFER SAGE

Synopsis:

I have never had a way with men, other than the random acts of nature that seemed to strike down their advances at every chance. Thanks mom, you could’ve saved me a hell of a lot of humiliation if you had let me know about all of this before now. I’m also not a looker, not like some Holleywood actress or model. I’m tall and thin enough, but I’ve got curves and by no means have I ever stopped traffic.

Enter two of the most beautiful men that I have ever lay eyes upon. Make that Immortal men while we’re at it. And I suppose I should call them ‘male’ since there’s nothing human about them. All male actually, in every sense of the word. I couldn’t be more of a fool than I am around them it turns out but they keep coming back. And both of them keep telling me I’m the one. Yeah. Right. Oh, and somehow, I’m supposed to be able to determine in 10 days which one is a liar and which one really is ‘made’ for me. Things stir deliciously when either one is around and my experiences in my world are few and far between. They are both Gods in their own right and I am just one measly human. Or am I? For a little longer I suppose I am....

Oh and Amele, when I’m stronger I will kick your ass for this. While I’m thankful you’re on my side, you should’ve prepared me for this! I know I know, the damned curse. But there must have been a way. The storm of Uglies grows thicker in my world and I feel completely powerless against them. For now, I’m content just kicking theirs. Powerless against the war and powerless against the advances of these gorgeous creatures that should not even exist. Whatever you do, forget everything you ever thought you’ve learned about faeries, and please, do not ever call them that!

MY REVIEW

Okay let me start out by saying that, I don't normally read paranormal romance books.  I have found that the ones that I have tried to read are too unreal for me to get into the story.  Yes, I am fully aware that a paranormal romance is fiction based and not mention to be realistic, but the way the ones I have read in the past did not hold enough detail for me to see their worlds and understand them for me to put myself in the story.  That, however, was not the case with Jennifer Sage's "Immortal Dreams".
I received this book from my boss to edit and boy what a treat it was.  I saw that it was titled Immortal and kind of groaned at the aspect of having to read through this book.  I want to say a HUGE thank you to the author for not only writing an amazing story, but proving me wrong that not all books in the same genre are created equal.  It takes the right author to make the book soar no matter what the book holds and was made in your book.  I think you could have wrote about talking toilet paper rolls and I would have believed it.  Ha!  Okay sorry back to the book at hand.

Isabel has been living a 'normalish' life thus far in her life.  She and her friend Amele have been friends for a while.  Isabel has not had the best of luck when it comes to men.  Every time they get 'close' to her lightning or tornadoes make an appearance.  Pretty crazy right?  Well not as crazy as it was for Isabel to wake up in what she thought was a dream to find a far too gorgeous man to be legal and her clothes had changed.

Meet Isabel as I pictured her....

Meet her first choice, Bodhe...

Only with a lot long hair and his hair would be white too :P

Her second choice, Morkain.....

Her best friend, Amele (who is also turns out to be her guardian)
The Amele that Isabel sees before it all starts...
The real Amele
Okay so now you have seen the cast as I see them, back into the review aspect of it.  This book takes you on a triangle unlike any other.  Isabel is thrown into this on her 22nd birthday unaware of anything.  Suddenly she has these two amazingly hot men fighting over her and hoping to win her heart, but the catch is...The one she sleeps with is the one that will be her eternal love.  Now there is yet another stipulation, if she chooses the wrong one...two worlds are doomed.

Okay now you tell me how scary your first time was?  For some reason, I don't think it was as scary as this LMAO!!!!!!!!

As the story unfolds Isabel learns about her real family and who she really is while trying to make the decision that would either save or kill two worlds.  Amele is by her side the entire way and helps guide her as much as she is allowed to with the prophecy in place she cannot tell her much.

OMG!!!! and I must tell you there is a line in this book that is like the BEST line I have EVER read in a book and I so badly want to add it but I can't because it would give too much away and I don't want to do that, but OMG!!!! if there was a nomination for best line ever....yeah this would win hands freaking down!!!!  If you have read it then I am sure you know what line I'm talking about.  I immediately started crying when it was said....*sigh*

Here are some teasers I have made for this book....

This was truly a rollercoaster of emotions and I even found myself yelling at my computer some times.  You just want to scream at Isabel "The signs! The f*cking signs!", but then you remember its a book and so she can't hear you. *sigh*

Jennifer Sage, this is the first book that I have ever read of yours and I am so glad I was able to.  This will definitely not be the last one either.  You held me from the beginning until the end and left me wanting more.  I can't wait to read the second book.  Amele is truly a character.  You have some serious talent and I wish nothing but the best for you and all the success in the future.

Get this BOOK all!!!!! It's re-releasing on September 6, 2013.  Be sure to catch it then!!!

Teaser:
This could not be happening. It was like one of those movies that kept you on the end of your seat, waiting to see what happened. I went around the bus, and Derik was now right behind me. I shot back in front of the bus and took the next street to the right. I kept darting in and out of traffic, up and down different streets with Derik right on my tail.

I finally got out of the city enough to get some speed, still passing cars, illegally. I didn’t care. I would have loved for the cops to see me and stop me. They didn’t, and I was left to fend for myself. I was a few cars ahead of him when I came up on a sports car with the top down, full of young girls. They were yelling and having the time of their life, but they were driving too slowly. I knew I shouldn’t try it. I couldn’t see if anything was coming from the little knoll.

I darted around them, and I was right. I shouldn’t have done it. Neither I nor the city bus driver had time to react before my car was under his bumper. I don’t remember much after that. I could vaguely recall sirens, voices and the sound of a saw. I was hot. I was so hot, and I could smell smoke. Was the car on fire? Was I being cut out of the car? I didn’t know. I was drifting away. I felt my body becoming lighter and lighter as I floated into the dark.

I’m sorry, Dawson…

Author Bio:

Jettie Woodruff is a practicing physician and has been a Civil War buff for decades. No. Not really, she is not a doctor nor is she a Civil War buff. She is however a goof-off and has a hard time being serious for too long.

She does enjoy a challenge when it comes to her writing. She feels as though she needs to pull every emotion possible from her readers. She wants you to be pissed off, questioning your sanity, depressed, happy, and hopefully turn your mind from wanting to cut the villain into tiny little pieces to loving him by the end of the book.

Underestimated was her first dark endeavor. It was a goal alongside of writing a series, a standalone romance, a young adult, which she can’t check that one off. She tried she really did, but her mind just doesn’t work outside the gutter and it quickly became rated X.

Jettie lives on 163 acres in a rural part of Ohio. She loves living in Ohio, except maybe the snow, and the long winters, maybe the hot summers too, Ah, hell, she hates Ohio. She does love the land and the solitude of the country. She just wishes it was in a geographically in a better part of the country.

Jettie has two grown children and one who will be eighteen in a matter of days. YES!!! She has also recently just had her first, cutest ever, most adorable, granddaughter in the whole world. Her oldest daughter just hit her with the news that she will be adding another grandchild to the family in February. Although she is sure she will fall in love with the little creature, she still can’t say the G word.

Jettie enjoys reading as much as she loves writing. She has way too many favorites to list, but one of her all-time favorites from years ago was the Casteel series from V.C. Andrews. One of her new favorites is C.J. Robert’s, Captive series. Reading it gave her that needed push that she required to say the hell with what people think and write Underestimated.

By day Jettie is wearing business attire and managing a mattress store. By night she is in front of a keyboard or her Kindle, wearing, well let’s not go there. Underestimated was her fifth book published. The first one was just shy of a disaster, not that it was a bad book. People liked it. She just knew nothing about it, no revising, no editing, just a spur of the moment…. “Oh, I wrote a book, lets publish it.” Train wreck and a half. Her Star series was one of her favorites and is held dear to her heart. She is now working on an adult romance that should be live around the end of August, early September. She can’t seem to stay focused on it at the moment, due to a much needed Bahamas vacation coming up with Adam Levine’s walking around half naked, buying her drinks.

Book Release date: August 29th

That explains Noah, Sean, and Zander, her three 'friends with benefits'.

What do you do when something that you’ve known to be so wrong in the past feels so damn right?
If you’re Mac, you run and hide.
But is Daniel the type of man who takes no for an answer?

I will let you in on a little secret.  I had the complete honor to have read this book already and OMG!!!! You need to read it!!!  That is all I'm saying.  Add it to your TBR lists and buy it the minute you can!!!  You will not regret it!!!!

How about a teaser?!

I’m having a break in the on call room, and my mind is doing what it does best; not shutting off and letting me sleep. Instead, I’m remembering back to last week when I was here with Noah, before my chance meeting with Daniel on the train.
He had seen me in the cafeteria grabbing a midnight snack from the vending machine and sent me a text outlining exactly what he wanted for his meal break. Five minutes later, I was pinned against the wall of one of the surgical floor’s on call rooms, being pounced by a very hard and horny walking dildo. Too far gone for foreplay, he had shoved my scrub pants down, desperate to get inside me.
About halfway through, I hit a road block and started thinking too much.
This feels good, but not great like it normally does.
What the hell, Mac? Get it together. He's the walking dildo, he always makes you come and fast, usually multiple times. So why does this feel like a long distance run rather than a short hundred meter dash? To be honest, it’s getting rather uncomfortable.
Shit, he's getting harder, and I can feel him tensing up; his grunts are getting louder, his thrusts faster and more sporadic. I make a moaning sound, knowing he likes to hear me, and it works, seemingly spurring him on.
Right now I feel as if I’m a ride on pony outside the grocery store. Put a quarter in and hop on board!  I’ve never had a problem getting off before. Hell, I pride myself on it. What is wrong with me?
Oh god. What if I’ve broken my clitoris from overuse? Misuse? Self-abuse?
I moan again.
“Fuck, Mac. Come with me. I’m close, babe.  Really...”
Thrust!
“Fucking...”
Thrust!
“Close....”
Thrust!
I have to do something. Shit, I’m going to have to fake it.
“Oh, yes. Fuck me, Noah. Harder. Oooh, yes, that’s it. Right there. Fuck! Argh!” I cry out, tightening my kegels and totally bullshitting my way through a fake orgasm. Noah stiffens and growls my name through his gritted teeth as he climaxes.
Thank God for THAT!

MY REVIEW
So I have been following this book for a while.  The cover alone can draw you in.  This book grabs you in the VERY beginning and keeps you there until the VERY end, only you still can't wait for more.  I can't wait for the next book, personally.

This story is the perfect example of just because you are pre-set to go one way does not mean that is where you are happy or where you want to be.   Can you imagine having your life all set out for you before you can even make a decision on your own.  Well that is something that is happening to Jack/Phoenix.  His father had his expectations of him and will accept nothing else.

Thalia is in a relationship, but its more of a glorified friendship.  Liam is more of a best friend than a boyfriend, especially when things are lacking in a certain department.  I think that even Liam understands that they are not where they should be, but neither of them are wanting to say anything.

Then that moment where you meet the one you can't get out of your head happens.  You know that moment where you are stuck in place, completely stunned silent and can't help but stare.  Of course reality has to kick in and you realize the guy you are speechless over is the brother of the guy you are currently with technically.  No never happened to you?  Well that's what happens to Thalia.

This book has so many spicy moments.  How about a teaser... Oh yes a naughty one too :D

His pierced nipple was right in front of my face. I grinned, leaned in and licked him. I felt him shudder against me. I wanted to explore. I moved my hand that was resting on his back, and stroked up his side to his nipple and rubbed.
He growled. “Thalia…”

Taking his nipple and piercing into my mouth, I flicked the silver ring with my tongue then lapped at his nipple, pushing him onto his back with me sprawling over his chest.

He kept groaning, holding my head in place, while I moved to his other nipple, giving it the same treatment, before moving back to the pierced one. I couldn’t get enough of him.

His cock had started to twitch between my thighs, as I started to move south with my hands and mouth.

Phoenix had the body of a God, all hard muscle, with no body hair. While I licked down his body, his stomach muscles quivered, his cock was rock hard against me, and his nipples were hard pebbles. Every time I flicked the silver ring, he’d break out in goose bumps.

Then his pierced cock came into view, and this time it was my stomach that fluttered. He was hard as hell with the tip weeping, trickling down to the silver. I licked my lips.

He arched his hips into me. “Thalia, I need you, babe,” he groaned.

Kneeling between his thighs, I admired the view. I could see right between his legs to his hairless balls. He was watching me through heavily lidded eyes. I grinned, leaned forward and placed my hands on his thighs. Teasing the tip of his cock with my breath, I smiled at his groan, before I licked him from root to tip like an ice cream cone.

He nearly bolted from the bed.

I licked back down the length of him, sucking one of his balls into my mouth, while I smoothed up and down his cock with my hand. Gripping him tightly, I pulled slightly to the root and keeping my hand there, massaged his other ball in my mouth. His thighs started to shake as I kept my hand tight around the root of him, while I licked the pre-cum up.

“I’m going to make you come by using my mouth on the head.” I quickly sucked the tip into my mouth and kept flicking the silver bar with my tongue, trying not to grind my pussy against his leg. With Phoenix under me, letting me do what I wanted to him, I was so damn wet and aching.

“Get that pussy up here.”

*sigh*  Yeah to say you need to read this book is well an understatement.  You really need to read it.  I could tell you so much more about this book, but the fact of the matter is that you really just need to read this book.

To Lexi Buchanan, first I want to thank you for allowing me the honor to be a part of your tour.  You are seriously one talented cookie and I can't wait to read more from you.  Your ability capture the emotions of the characters and portray it in a way that the reader feels them too...well its just amazing!  You are on my top authors list and will be recommending your work to everyone that has a pair of eyes.  LOL!  Please keep up the awesome work!  Ohh and bring on more books LMAO!!! Hugs!

We are now settled in a lovely town, in County Cavan. The kids love their schools, once they get there that is.

My eldest daughter, is on the Irish Junior Archery Team, and spends her time training. At least she does when her dad can get her off her ipad, reading or listening to music.

I have recently joined the book review blog, Book Addict Mumma and made a wonderful new friend in Kristy Louise Garbutt, my new boss!

My kindle is loaded with too many books to mention, as I absolutely love to read when I have the chance.

My all time high would be to stand at the foot of Mount Everest in the Himalayas.
