My Review:

So back in May, I had the honor of reading and participating in Samantha Fontien's debut release and blog tour for book 1 in her 'Butterflies' series. If you would like to see my review for book one please click here. Thank you.  I was looking forward to the release of this book.  My expectations for this book were high for Samantha Fontien, as are for any book that is part of a cliffhanger series.  To me, books are like movies in this aspect.  When you are left hanging at the end the second one (or however many there are) need to make up for having to wait to get answers and what not.

I wasn't disappointed.  I think this book was a lot better than the first book. You really are able to get a better understanding of the characters and their standings in this book.  Each become complete and any holes or questions from the first book are answered in this book.

CASTING:

Rebecca

Jason
Jackson

Lucy
Christopher (Chris)
George

Duncan

Also appearances from...

Mr. Nichols

This book picks up right where book 1 left off.  There are no in between moments that were left out.  For me this allowed me to get right back into the book.  There were many things happening in this book that all led up to the end where not only did Rebecca's story closes, but so does Lucy's.  I was in tears on many parts of this book and others I was cheering.  You get an idea of who Duncan is the man cloaked in mystery.  Friendships are made on a common ground and they last because of a common goal.  The friendship that Lucy and Rebecca have is strong and cannot be broken.  I feel that way about quite a few of my friends.  No matter what they are always there for each other, telling it like it is and helping them with shit hits the fan and begins to fall to pieces around them.

I wouldn't call Rebecca and Lucy caught in a triangle between men, because that is not the case.  Lucy was with George. He lied so she broke it off then after some time of mopping she found Chris. And the same for Rebecca (only a little different).  Because they were never with both of these guys at the same time there really is no triangle scenario here.  Having said that though, I did have my favorites in the first book.  Did they change in the second book?  Not necessarily.  However, I did get a better understanding of the characters and because of this I was able to see why each made the decisions they did.

Mrs. Fontien, you really were able to close up this set perfectly.  I was beyond thrilled with the progression and how it ended.  Again you had me living in London with these lovely ladies and their men.  I of course have never been there, but it was sure nice to get there in a dream hahaha!  Your ability to pull me into the story and the characters progression was spot on.  I wish you all the best and success in the future.  You deserve it.  I loved this book!  I can't wait to read more from you.

****New Release!! Trust Me? by K E Osborn****

NEW RELEASE!!!!

Synopsis:

When Jenifer Taylor, a young woman from the big City of Mornington Vale California starts her day, it turns from bad to worse, when on her way to work she is in a chain collision.
Little does she know that this accident will set off a chain of events transforming her dull life, filling it with love and heartache.
Aiden O'Connell, a young, attractive, and rich businessman sparks her trust issues as he starts his pursuit of her.

Jeni admits her feelings for Aiden; only to find out he is being investigated for a serious crime. Her trust issues spark as she goes through a journey of self-discovery. She must decide once and for all whether she trusts the man she loves, when she’s asked the ultimate question.

“Do you trust me?”

This is book one in a series of three. Book two "Love Me?" coming soon.

Here are some excerpts from the book to help wet your whistle until you purchase the book. :P

EXCERPT ONE:
I exhale. “I have major trust issues with men. My dad left before I was born. My ex… well, he cheated and left me. I can’t just trust that you are who you say you are. I mean how do I know that you won’t treat me the same way?”
He sighs. “Trust issues, huh? I can work with that.” He smiles, lightening the mood. “Let’s take this one day at a time. I don’t plan on hurting you. I don’t think I ever could. Trust is a big thing. It has to be earned. I’ll do my time until you trust me. I’m not planning on going anywhere. I don’t know about you, but for me, there is something here, and I’m willing to wait and work at it to find out what that is. That’s if you want to?”
I can’t help but smile. “I think there’s something here as well, and with time, I’m sure I’ll trust you.”
“I can live with that.”
“Wow! That got serious real quick,” I say, laughing. He nods in agreement. “Aiden,” I say softly.
“Yes, Jeni?”
“Kiss me!”

EXCERPT TWO:
I run through some paperwork when I hear someone clear their throat to get my attention. I look up angrily to see the man who crashed into me this morning. It’s the idiot who enhanced my bad day.
“Jeni, I presume?” he asks with a quirky smile on his face, which is unexpectedly attractive.
I sit in silence as I stare at him with my mouth slightly open in surprise.
He speaks again. “I’m sorry about this morning. I see you managed to get that stain mostly out of your top. I’d like to pay for some new clothes and the damages to your car, if you’ll let me.”
I squirm in my seat as the attractiveness of this man is suddenly apparent. How did I not notice his gorgeousness this morning? He’s, quite frankly, one of the most attractive guys I’ve ever seen. In spite of his outrageously good looks and cheerful persona, I start to get angry with him all over again.
“No, you don’t need to pay for new clothes or for my car. My manager has told me that they will fix it for me and then charge the insurance company. So, like I said this morning, I don’t want or need your charity, thanks.”
He looks at me in surprise. “That’s no way to talk to a customer.” Again with a mischievous grin.
“Urgh.” I want to slap him in his smart-ass, gorgeous face.
“Sorry,” I say with extreme sarcasm. “Can I have the details of your car please, Mr. O’Connell?”
“If you won’t let me buy you some new clothes or fix your car, how about lunch then?”
There’s that grin again. I quickly gather myself together and reply hastily.
“It’s after two, Mr. O’Connell. I’ve had lunch, thanks.” I’m feeling quite pleased with myself as I stand up. “Now, if you wouldn’t mind, the details of your car?”
He looks at me puzzled.
“I didn’t mean today. I meant tomorrow or the next day or the weekend. Whenever you’re free?”
With that, his gorgeous smile crosses his face again, and I begin to melt. Is it hot in here? I can feel my cheeks burning. I look down, pretending to sort out paperwork on my desk so he can’t see the redness spreading across my face.
“I don’t think I can do lunch. I’m pretty busy you know.”
He looks like he’s thinking hard about what to say next and he tilts his head slightly.
“Dinner then?”
I let out a little laugh but quickly gather myself together.
“I could use the details of your car, Mr. O’Connell?”
He grins again.
“Jeez, you’re a tough one to crack, Jeni.”
I try not to smile.
“Okay, how about this? If you give me the pleasure of having dinner with you on Friday night, I’ll give you the details of my car.” He looks very pleased with himself, grinning from ear to ear.
I sigh, considering his deal.
“Oh, um, I don’t know. I mean you’re a customer. Surely there is some sort of rules about customers and employees dating.”
He laughs; the sound is delightful to my ears.
“I won’t tell if you don’t.”
I stand there in shock, contemplating what to say next. I mean could this amazingly handsome man want to take me out to dinner? Really? I’m not anything like the type of girl I’d imagine he would be into. I try to think of some witty comeback, but before I know what’s happening, I sputter, “Fine! Friday for dinner, if it’ll get you to co-operate. Please tell me the details of your car.”
I take a deep breath and wait for him to reply.
“Great, Friday it is. I have your details from this morning. I’ll call you with the restaurant and time.”
I sit back down on my chair in a dazed shock.
“Is that okay with you?”
I shake my head with disbelief.
“Sure, why not?” is all I can mange.
His smile reappears like he has overcome a huge obstacle and triumphed.

EXCERPT THREE:
I turn to face him; he puts his other arm around me. We are in the same position as before when the last kiss attempt failed. My arms are tight around his neck, his arms around my waist. I look down. He lifts up my chin so I’m lost in his gaze. His hand goes back to my waist. He swallows; I think he’s as nervous as I am. He tilts his head and leans in … I back away quickly.
“What’s wrong?” he asks, looking hurt.
“Oh, no, it’s not you. I think … I might have garlic breath.”
He laughs and pulls me back to him. “So do I.” He pulls me in tighter, and before I know what’s happening, his lips are on mine. I give in and surrender to him completely.
This feels like one of my fantasies, only way, way better. He holds me tight as one hand moves from my waist to caress my cheek, kissing me softly but sensually. My hands move to the back of his head, and I grab a lock of hair in each hand. He moves our bodies so that I’m against the railing at the edge of the deck. He moves his hand from my waist to hold the rail as I still grasp his hair. The kissing becomes feverishly passionate; his tongue against mine as they intertwine with each other. Our breathing becomes faster and erratic. Our kissing becomes more intimate. We are in perfect sync with each other. I pull him closer to me, our whole bodies touching. My heart is pounding fast and hard. His hand moves from my face to the back of my head, pulling me tight. He moves my hair from the side of my neck, breaks our kiss and kisses my neck slowly and seductively. I sigh and breathe in a stuttering motion. I open my eyes to see the waitress standing there, gawking at us. I stiffen as I see her. He pulls back and looks at me. With my eyes, I gesture toward the waitress. He turns, looks, and lets out a little huff. He leans in towards me.
“Now that’s a first kiss,” he whispers as he grabs my hand and leads me over to the table. I can’t help but smile.

***Second Chances by D L Roan Review by PJ***

Second Chances
by D. L. Roan

Synopsis:

Note: Alternate/new cover edition for ASIN# B00BH34Y74

Six years after the McLendon brothers lost their wife during the birth of their twins they are merely existing, focused only on running their ranch and raising their boys....until Claira Robbins drops into their family like a baby bird falling from its nest.

She certainly ruffles more than a few feathers. Matt and Mason believe she will be the one to heal their hearts and family. Their older brother Grey? He plans to live out his life comfortably numb from the neck down, even if it kills him...and it just might if Claira's lethal past catches up to her.

Can they convince Grey to let go of the past and give love a second chance? Or will his own haunting secret destroy what is left of their family for good?

Second Chances is an 88,000 word novel.

WARNING: Second Chances is an M/F/M/M erotica ménage romance and contains explicit sex, ménage à quatre, anal sex, adult language, and violence. Oh, and absolutely no steamy action between brothers, because that would just be awkward. Recommended for the adult reader only.

My Review:

I am so far behind in my reviews lately and I can't apologize enough for it.  Well I aimed to start this book almost two months ago, but there has been one thing after another that has come up.  However, I have to say that this book is unlike anything I have ever read and I cannot put that in any better words.  It truly is unlike anything I have read.

So I will admit, I have talked to this author before I even knew about her book.  Other friends of mine have read it and after talking to her I jumped at the chance to purchase this book to read it.  Boy am I ever glad I did.

So this story stares one lost, lonely, scared woman.  All she wants to do is make her mark in the world, but sadly as many people these days...she can't choose where she came from and who she was related to.  The very things that she was running for her life from.  She felt her life was as upturned as it could possible get...well that was until she met the McLendon brothers.  Little did she know how much more upturned her life could actually get.

Have you ever loved something so much only to find it out it came in threes?  Yeah I know me either LMAO!!!!! But hell if that isn't what happened to Claira.  I will say I wanted to be this woman...WOW!!!  Did I ever what to be her *fans self*

This book his hot, steamy, unique, amazing book will have you set on fire and longing for a bucket of ice to sit in.  Seriously this book should have come with more of a warning.  I think that the author should have included this in her warning:

"Warning: batteries are not included in sales price and need to be purchased separately or make sure you have plenty on hand."

What?  I'm just saying.  If you haven't read this book you have no idea what I'm talking about...If you have then you know exactly why that warning should be included in the warning.

Message for D. L. Roan:  I have read a lot of books over my life and even since starting to read romance novels, but yours is by far the most stand out there novel I have read.  The plot is strong and your writing is stronger.  You felt everything between them.  You did an amazing job and I cannot wait to read more from you.  Just simply amazing you should feel amazing about this book.  I wish you the best of luck and all the success in the future!

If you haven't purchased this book yet.  You really need to. THIS IS A MUST READ!!!

MY REVIEW:

I am a little behind and I want to take a moment and apologize to Mrs. Hollowed for my review being late.  There will be no excuses offered because that is all they will be, but please  accept my apologies for being so far behind on getting this review posted on my blog page.

Okay having said that, here we are with Book 2 in the Chances trilogy.  Who was with me on being gutted with the ending of the first one?  For my review of "No Second Chances" book 1 in the 'Chances' series, please click here. Thank you. I'm was reading along and it just boom stops.  I am pretty sure I screamed loudly.  "No Second Chances" was an engaging and trapping read.  It was like sitting on pin and needles waiting for the second book.

My heart was aching for Cole and I think butterflies spent a lot of time in my stomach during both books, but my eyes cried so many sad tears at the end of 1 and throughout 2 that I had a headache at the end of the book.  No, wait that sounds bad... The book didn't give me the headache my... Oh never mind carrying on.  Let's view the cast real quick shall we. I know I could look at Cole all damn day long! Hahaha!
Main Characters:
Ally Brody
Cole Thomas

Okay so back to the review now.  How Many Chances starts out with Cole's POV.  I am a sucker for a male's POV.  Hell I'm a sucker for Cole period...damn sorry side tracked again.  So it starts out by giving a recant of how Cole felt and reacted to losing Ally.  As if I didn't cry over it enough in No Second Chances, no Mrs. Hollowed has to make me relive it in the beginning of How Many Chances as well. *sigh* LOL  Your heart will ache all over again for Cole and Ally during that turning point in their relationship.

As the story unfolds, you are reminded why you loved Cole so much and why Ally was the one that completed him.  Just how do you convince someone that their it for you if you can't get them to even listen to you?  I truly loved Cole's answer to that question.  Now I would tell you what that was but frankly it would ruin that moment in the book and I will not do that to my fellow readers.

We all know the reunion is coming, but honestly I'm surprised how long it actually took to happen.  Cole and Ally are like the north and south pole on a magnet.  They are drawn to each other, buy an unknown force.  Yet they are not drawn fast enough to each other to keep either of them from hurting.

There are many sections in this story that stood out to me and I will always remember.  Their love for each other, the ending, the way they couldn't stop touching each other, the ending, their undying support, ohh did I mention the ending?  Oh I didn't well the ending stood out BIG time.  And I'm not just talking about the last little section of words.  No it would be more like the last few chapters.  However, I can't talk about that, now can I?  Nope!  But here is something I can talk about and it was one of my favorite lines from this book.

Shoot, that man has drool all over him because of all the women fawning all over him. HA! Cole and Ally really struggle in this book compared to the first one.  However their struggles strengthen their bond and solidify their love for each other.  Every book needs one of those defining moments for the characters.  It allows the reader to attach how serious they are for each other as well as how deep the connection truly goes.

This book will pull every bit of emotion out of you.  When I read a 'cliffhanger' style series the follow up books have got to be better than the previous to make up for having to wait.  So that is how I went into this book, with the expectations that it had to be better.  It wasn't better than the first...

No it blew the first one out of the fucking water!  I cannot even put into words exactly how I felt about this book other than to tell you all... Mrs. Hollowed really nailed it with this one.  She had a reason for each decision she made and she made sure that the reader fully understood why that decision was made.  She kept them real and gave them real life struggles.  It is because of those decisions that made this book as good as it was.  It was because of the realism of it.  You were living them, Cole and Ally.  You weren't reading about them. Those to me are the best books!

Mrs. Hollowed, I have read every one of your books thus far and each one has made some kind of impact on me in one form or another, but this book (even though it is a part of a series) really is the best so far.  Runner up would have to be A Stolen Heart.  Your ability to keep the characters real and allow the reader to relate to them and their situations is what makes your work so addicting.  That truly is what your books are...addicting.  Every time I open one, I cannot put it down until I'm done.  Thank you for all the time and work you put into each of your books because without them we wouldn't have FBFs (Fictional Boyfriends) like Sam, Cole, Zach...I think that would be sad.  Thank you!  Keep writing I need more :) <3 font="">

*****Blog Tour Stop: Feeling This by Casey Blue Review by Kia*****

FEELING THIS
BY
CASEY BLUE

SYNOPSIS:

Whoever said life is hard didn’t know the half of it!

Completely devastated when his life is ripped out from underneath him, Jordan Rhodes decides to take a break. A break from everything he’s always known; the country club life-style, his life-long friends and his overbearing parents. He just wants to be free to get lost and not feel the pain he has endured.

Kimber Maguire has been dealt the tough card her entire life. An ailing mom, a sister who refuses to face reality and a yearning for the one that got away, she finds putting one foot in front of the other as her only saving grace. What she really wants is to be free of feeling the pressure that is her life to get lost.

But when Jordan finds Kimber while losing himself, they both discover, sometimes you just need to feel to be found.

MY REVIEW:

Casey did such a wonderful job on this book.  At first I was sure this was going to be a book about two different people’s love stories boy was I wrong.

The cast as I see them:

Kimber Maguire

She is one amazing women, she is strong, selfless, hard working, and feisty.  She loves her mama and her sister with all her heart.  With her moms illness it puts a big strain on her and her no existent love life since she is the only one giving care to her.  Also she goes to school and works two jobs to make ends meet.  She lives in a small town called Mt. Vernon in Texas and just does not have time to do things just for her.
Jordan Rhodes

Oh how my heart just aches for this man.  He has been through so much as well.  He was brought up in a very wealthy family in Dallas, in a big house and going to country clubs and so on.  His family basically stayed within the same circle of friends throughout his life.  But one day something devastating happens and now he feels staying in Dallas is no longer an option for him and wants to get lost for a while.

Now this is where everything collides.  Once Jordan leaves Dallas he ends up in a little town called Mt. Vernon.  Didn’t I just say that’s where Kimber was from?  OMG!!!!!!  Kimber happens to work the same place where he ends up finding a job and she also works at a bar that he frequents.  This story will have you wanting to know what is going to happen next you will not want put it down.

They end up trying to be together but things seem to be always getting in the way (feelings, insecurities) all the things in the past seem to always rear its ugly head at the wrong time.  These are the things that push them apart but it’s also the same things that make them have that pull towards each other.  Trying to move forward is a difficult challenge but its one thing they must overcome for their feeling for each other are found.

They say that people only have one true love but sometimes, just sometimes that one you thought was it really wasn’t it was just a obstacle until you found your real true love.  Sometime it can be that your heart may just have room for a new love after one has left and shattered your heart.

This is a MUST READ and I was happy to have the privilege to read this.  The story will bring tears, happiness and the feistiness out in everyone that reads it.  Happy Reading Everyone!!

Author Bio:

J She is addicted to caffeine and loves Jelly Bellies. She loves imperfect characters because in the end we are all imperfect. She has been writing her whole life but ‘Feeling This’ is her first New Adult masterpiece. She is happily married with kids and lives in the sunny state of Florida.

****Immortal Bound by Jennifer Sage Review by ~PJ~****

Immortal Bound
by
Jennifer Sage
(No cover yet, but I think this will do quite nicely hehehe)

Review:

Here I sit again at my computer trying to come up with words to sum up another book.  Usually the words flow easily and I can get exactly what I want (and need) to say about a book out without much hesitation or even thought on my behalf.  Not that those reviews are thoughtless on my behalf, but more clear to what to say about them.  This book has proven to not be the case at the moment.

Immortal Bound is book 2 in the Immortal series by Jennifer Sage.  This story follows Amele as she fulfills her binding to the Elemental God of Water, Nikolai.  This story recaps some of things from book one, her aspect of things, before her being taken to the Nikolai's home to fulfill her agreement to him.

****If you have not read Immortal Dreams, please do so first as Isabel and parts of her story are revealed and visited in this book.  It will ruin the story if you do not read it.****

CLICK HERE FOR MY REVIEW OF IMMORTAL DREAMS

So as I sat down to read this book, I already loved Amele's character from Book 1.  The was not only a fierce warrior, but she was kind and compassionate and funny as hell!  She doesn't let down in book 2 either. Ha!

She would not cower or beg and it drove Nikolai NUTS.

“Sister she is impossible! I can hardly tolerate her insolence! She dares speak to a God that way when she should be groveling at my feet, bending to my every whim. What has happened that they have lost their fear of us?”

Both are stubborn and fight each other at every turn. Both were trying to play the same game and often backfires happened...more than once actually.  Amele stands her ground against the Elemental and he pushes just as hard back.

This book was a damn roller coaster of emotions...seriously.  I feel weird saying that about this genre (as stated in my other review not my fav genre), but it was truly.  The way Ms. Sage has written this book and previous, has you unable to do anything but feel for the characters and lose yourself in the story.  You become them.  I have never screamed so much at a book than I did with this one.  My stomach was in knots, I was shaking, tears were shed, anger flared...it was just an emotionally filled book.

I sit back digesting what I have just read and think to myself "By Gods, I want one for myself" HA!

Ms. Sage, I cannot express the amount of gratitude that I feel for you allowing me the honor to read these.  In every single page I felt something and had to keep turning the pages.  Your gift to pull the reader in and not only become part of the story, but truly believe these worlds, races exist is amazing.  You have a serious talent here and I look forward to reading more from you in the future.  I wish you all the success that these books (and future ones) are sure to bring you.  Thank you so much again.

PLEASE READ IMMORTAL DREAMS BEFORE READING THIS BOOK!
